Terms of Service
Effective date: July 1, 2026 · Last updated: July 1, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Pixel Parenting LLC (“Pixel Parenting,” “we,” “us”) governing your purchase and use of the Summer Homework Planner, the Collectible Cards, and related products on pixelparenting.org (the “Services”). By buying or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
1. Who can use the Services
You must be at least 18 years old and a parent or legal guardian (or otherwise authorized to act for the child) to purchase. The Services are for adults. By ordering, you confirm you are buying for your own family and you consent, on the child’s behalf, to the limited use of the child’s first name and interests described in our Privacy Policy.
2. What you are buying
- Summer Homework Planner: a personalized, print-ready PDF homework plan generated from the information you provide, delivered to your email instantly after purchase.
- Collectible Cards: a personalized card deck whose artwork is created with AI image generation, screened for child-safety, and emailed to you as a print-ready PDF.
You are responsible for printing the files yourself. We do not ship physical products.
3. The information you provide
You agree to provide only your child’s first name and appropriate interests/themes, and not to submit your child’s last name, age, photo, address, school, or other identifiers, or any other person’s personal information. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you submit. By submitting this information, you give us permission to use it to create, screen for child-safety, deliver, and support your order, as described in our Privacy Policy.
4. Acceptable use and content rules
The Collectible Cards are made for children. You agree not to request, and we will not create, any content that is sexual, violent, gory, frightening, hateful, discriminatory, related to drugs/alcohol/weapons/gambling/self-harm, that depicts real named people, or that uses copyrighted or trademarked characters or brands. We screen every request and every card for child-safety before delivery. If a request violates our guidelines, we will not generate it; we will let you know and you may try a different theme. We may refuse or cancel any order that violates these Terms and refund it where appropriate.
You also agree not to resell or redistribute the Services or their outputs, reverse-engineer or scrape the Services, interfere with or disrupt them, use them for any unlawful purpose, or use our outputs to train a competing AI model.
5. Educational guidance disclaimer (Homework Planner)
The Summer Homework Planner provides general educational suggestions from Pixel Parenting to help families structure practice time; we use AI to help organize and schedule the plan, not to originate the educational guidance. It is not professional, medical, psychological, or educational-diagnostic advice, and it is not a substitute for your child’s actual school assignments, curriculum, or teacher guidance. The generated schedule can contain errors, so please review each plan and adapt it to your child’s needs and judgment, and consult your child’s teacher or a qualified professional where appropriate.
6. AI-generated content disclaimer (Cards)
Card artwork is created with AI image generation based on the theme and interests you provide, and screened for child-safety before delivery. AI art can include small imperfections or unexpected details, and similar themes may produce similar images. Your cards are personal to your family but are not guaranteed to be unique. Cards are a fun, motivational tool and are not a toy, educational product, or safety device.
7. Ownership and your license to the art
We provide you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-commercial license to print and use your generated plan and card artwork for your own family’s personal use. You may not resell, redistribute, or use the artwork commercially. Because purely AI-generated images may not be eligible for copyright protection, we do not claim or grant exclusive ownership of the raw AI artwork, and we make no warranty that the artwork is exclusive to you. The Pixel Parenting name, logo, templates, card designs, layouts, and software remain our property. This license covers only the rights we actually hold in the generated content; it does not grant any rights in third-party material or in the content you provide, and you are responsible for ensuring the themes and details you submit do not infringe anyone’s rights.
8. Payment
Prices are shown at checkout and may change. Payment is processed by Stripe; by purchasing you also agree to Stripe’s terms. We do not store your full payment card details. Beta or coupon discounts do not change these Terms.
9. Refunds and cancellations
- Homework Planner (instant digital product): Because it is delivered immediately, it is non-refundable once delivered, except where the law requires otherwise or where the file fails to generate or is defective, in which case we will regenerate it or refund you. EU/EEA/UK buyers: by purchasing you request immediate delivery and acknowledge you lose the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal once the file is delivered (you confirm this at checkout).
- Collectible Cards: You may cancel for a full refund any time before the artwork has been generated. After delivery, the deck is a custom digital product and is non-refundable except where defective.
- To request a refund, email contact@pixelparenting.org.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any plan or card will meet your expectations. Nothing in this section excludes or limits any warranty or right that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pixel Parenting and its members will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Services or any plan or card. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the fees you paid to us in the 12 months before the claim or $100.
These limits do not apply to, and nothing in these Terms waives, liability for gross negligence, fraud, or willful misconduct; personal injury caused by our negligence where such limits are not permitted; or any right or remedy that cannot be waived or limited under applicable law. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some may not apply to you.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Pixel Parenting from claims arising out of your misuse of the Services, your breach of these Terms, or content you submit in violation of Section 4.
13. Privacy
Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle your and your child’s information.
14. Changes to the Services and these Terms
We may add to, change, or discontinue any product or feature at any time. We may also update these Terms; material changes will be posted here with a new date and, where they affect existing orders, communicated by email. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Before any formal action, you agree to contact us first to try to resolve the issue informally. Any unresolved dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in California, or, where applicable, in small claims court. We do not require binding arbitration, which keeps disputes simple and avoids arbitration-administrator fees.
16. General
Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remain in full effect.
Entire agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Pixel Parenting regarding the Services and replace any prior understanding.
Assignment. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms. We may assign these Terms to a successor, for example if the business is sold or reorganized.
