Pixel Parenting LLC (“Pixel Parenting,” “we,” “us”) operates pixelparenting.org and the paid Summer Homework Planner and Collectible Cards products (the “Services”). This policy explains what we collect, why, how we protect it, and your choices. The Services are intended for parents and adults, not for children. Children do not use the Services directly.

2. What we collect

When you buy or request a product, we collect only what we need to create and deliver it:

• Your information (the parent/purchaser): your name and email address, and your order and communication history with us.
• About your child: your child’s first name only and the interests, themes, subjects, grade/level, and reward preferences you type into the order form. We do not ask for and you should not provide your child’s last name, age or birthdate, photo, home address, school, or any other identifier.
• Payment information: processed entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. We receive only a confirmation and limited billing details from Stripe.
• Website usage and marketing: we use analytics tools and server-side advertising measurement (see Sections 5 and 10) to understand site usage and measure our ads. These collect page views, device data, clicks, and truncated IP addresses, not the details you type into the order form, and we never send them your child’s name or interests.

We do not knowingly collect information directly from children, and the Services are not directed to children.

3. How we use it

We use your information only to:

• generate your personalized homework plan and/or card deck;
• screen card artwork for child-safety before delivery;
• deliver your files and send order-related and support emails;
• send you marketing or product emails only if you opt in, which you can stop at any time;
• keep basic business and tax records; and
• maintain the safety and security of the Services.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share your child’s first name or interests with any third party for advertising. We also do not use your information, your child’s first name, or your prompts to train any AI model.

4. Free-text safety screening

Anything you type into the theme or interests fields is screened for unsafe content before it is used, and it is also filtered to remove personal information (such as a full name, email, phone, address, or school) that a parent might enter by accident, before it reaches our image provider or is stored. Your child’s first name is never placed in the image prompt, and our safety logs store only a hashed version of the text, never the raw words.

5. Who processes data for us

We use a small set of trusted service providers (“processors”) who handle data only on our instructions and under a data processing agreement:

We confirm with each provider that order data is not used to train their models or for their own advertising, and we never send your child’s name or interests to analytics or advertising tools.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your order and child-related data only as long as needed to deliver and support your purchase. You can ask us to delete it at any time (see Section 8) and we honor deletion requests promptly. We also delete intake, prompts, and generated art within 90 days after delivery. Business and tax records are kept as required by law (typically up to 7 years).

7. How we protect it

Access to order data is limited to the people who need it to fulfill your order, and our order database is on an internal network. We do not store children’s personal information in plain-text logs. We rely on the security of our processors (Render, Stripe, Resend) for data they hold. If a data breach affects your personal information, we will notify you and any regulator as required by law.

8. Your rights

You may ask us to access, correct, or delete the information we hold about you and your child, and to opt out of marketing email at any time (every marketing email has an unsubscribe link). To make a request, email contact@pixelparenting.org. We respond within 30 days. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

9. Children’s privacy (COPPA)

The Services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly allow children to create accounts, log in, or submit information to us directly. The limited information about a child (first name and interests) is provided by you, the parent or guardian, who consents to its use to create your product. If you believe a child has provided us information directly, contact contact@pixelparenting.org and we will delete it. We comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and design the Services to minimize children’s data.

10. Cookies and tracking

We use essential cookies to run the site, and analytics tools (Google Analytics and PostHog) to understand how the site is used. We measure our advertising through server-side conversion reporting, not tracking pixels on the site, and we have turned off ad-personalization and cross-site profiling. Some analytics tools set cookies; we configure them to avoid collecting the details you enter in the order form, and we never send them your child’s name or interests. Where your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or “Do Not Track” signal, we suppress non-essential analytics for you. The Services are offered to customers in the United States; we will add a regional cookie-consent banner before we market the Services in the EU/EEA or UK.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. We will post the new version here with an updated date, and for material changes affecting how we handle your data, we will notify purchasers by email.
